Business Support Solutions is a partner in the new Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) in the Northwest alongside Business Link, the Northwest Regional Development agency (NWDA), RTC North West and UK Trade & Investment.

Enterprise Europe Network brings together the resources of the former Euro Info Centres (EIC) and Innovation Relay Centres (IRC), providing expertise and services primarily to SMEs but also to larger companies and research institutes. It links more than 600 organisations across Europe over 44 countries.

It offers a pan European network of advisers who offer expert advice and consultancy on:

  • the development of innovative products and processes to facilitate technology transfer between European regions;
  • specialist information and advisory services to help companies develop their business in Europe,
  • access to European legislation and business opportunities.

Enterprise Europe Network is a source of official information for companies wishing to take full advantage of the opportunities in the Single Market. We can provide businesses with a range of information on different countries and industry sectors and on specific products and companies. The network enjoys strong links with the business world at local, regional, national and international level. The European Commission's Digital Competitiveness report published at the beginning of August shows that Europe's digital sector has made strong progress since 2005 and is now the world leader in broadband internet and the world's first truly mobile continent with more mobile subscribers than citizens (a take up rate of 119%).
