Liverpool City Region Business Delegation to China 2017.

Wirral Chamber of Commerce is working with Wirral Council, Liverpool Vision, China Britain Business Council, Liverpool & Sefton Chambers of Commerce and colleagues across the Liverpool City Region (LCR) to organise a business and civic delegation to China from 30 October- 9 November 2017.

China is a huge and expanding market for UK businesses and this delegation seeks to capitalise on the relationships that exist between our City Region and various political and business organisations in the country. Northern Powerhouse Medtech trade mission to California

Northern Powerhouse trade mission to the Netherlands

Date: 3rd-6th October 2017

Cost: Eligible delegates will only have to pay a non-refundable booking fee of £99 which will include travel, accommodation and programme activities.

This mission is ideal for businesses with little or no experience of exporting. This mission is one of many initiatives encouraging growth across the Northern Powerhouse. The visit will commence on the evening of Tuesday 3 October 2017, travelling from Hull to Rotterdam via Ferry, arriving back in Hull on the morning of Friday 6 October. We will take businesses to both Rotterdam and Amsterdam, helping them to gain export insight and experience to trade internationally.

Northern Powerhouse Mega Technology Trade Mission to Malaysia

A Northern Powerhouse delegation is being organised to join this mission, which will comprise the largest-ever delegation of UK technology companies to visit Malaysia. We anticipate up to 50 leading UK technology providers will participate. Key sectors (pillars) that will be focused on for this mission are:

The three-day Mega mission programme will include:

  • Two-days of business matching sessions in Kuala Lumpur.
  • The formal VIP networking evening reception and DIT UK technology awards ceremony (Day One), attended by leading industry players and tech stakeholders in Malaysia.
  • A evening networking reception (Day two) hosted by Invest Selangor at the palace of Sultan Selangor. Approximate 250-300 Malaysian companies will also be invited to meet with UK companies participating on mission.
  • A visit to Johor, primarily focusing on Smart Cities opportunities and the Iskandar region – delegation will be hosted by Chief Minister of Johor.

Cut off dates for registration:

The dates below are the cut off dates for additional event marketing exposure we can offer UK companies participating on Mega Technology Trade Mission to Malaysia. The level and amount of additional company exposure prior to mission is dependent on the cut-off date you submit your application to participate. The earlier you register the more publicity we are able to generate for your company.

10th July: For inclusion in mission press launch being hosted by Malaysian Government, and attended by national Malaysia news media. 30th July: For inclusion in wider publicity utilising various bill boards and LCD screens around Malaysia. This may also include any of your promotional videos…subject to approval. 11th August: Inclusion in banners being placed at strategic locations both in Kuala Lumpur and other cities in Malaysia. 18th August: Inclusion in various under bridge suspended banners and large LCD screens in various locations around Kuala Lumpur. 25th August: Ability to have additional branding and images put on your mission stand . 1st September: Final cut off for UK company participation application. This is an early cut-off date due to the high level of visual graphics needed to be produced for both company stand and wider event and venue marketing material.

Once registered and then subsequently accepted on mission (usually within 5 days): all further correspondence will be undertaken by commercial officers based at the UK high commission in Malaysia.

There is no charge for participating on this mission, but there will be a charge for any additional graphics or alterations you may want on your stand. (you will be informed of these stand charges once you are accepted on mission). Companies are only required to pay for hotel and flights.

There will be travel support of £500 for eligible SMEs from the Northern Powerhouse regions (Yorkshire & Humberside, North East and North West). With a GDP of almost £350bn the Northern Powerhouse economy is larger than those of Taiwan, Sweden or Denmark - equivalent to being the 21st biggest economy in the world. Join this Northern Powerhouse trade mission to Medica, the world’s largest medical technology and life sciences exhibition. This mission is ideal for businesses in the medical sector wanting to showcase Northern expertise and innovation. The trade mission will give businesses the opportunity to meet and connect with international buyers and establish valuable contacts. At the exhibition, companies will be supported by a DIT Life Sciences Sector Specialist and have access to the following facilities:
