Local Business Groups
Every one of the 10 local areas that the Chamber covers in Greater Manchester has a Local Business Group made up of Chamber members, whose businesses are in the area that the group represents.
Each Business Group helps deliver a set of objectives that promote benefits of membership, help engage with local contacts and make sure local business issues are heard and actioned.
Each group has a Local President who chairs any meetings that the group holds and helps pull activity together for that area.
Activity may include the following:
-
Identify members' needs and develop and deliver new services and campaigns as appropriate
-
Undertake activity to ensure that the views of local businesses are kept updated and relevant
-
Assist with the recruitment and retention of Chamber members and be local champions of Chamber membership
-
Promote GMCC services, campaigns and initiatives
-
Work collaboratively with local authority contacts to promote the Chamber and ensure that relevant local developments are shared with members
-
Assist with the organisation and delivery of local events
-
Identify local sponsorship /partnership opportunities to ensure successful delivery of objectives and targets
-
Support the President and Vice-President(s) in their roles.
Local Business Groups meet at least twice a year and members of Groups serve a three-year term and we are looking for members to fill these vital roles.
If you would like to register your interest in getting more involved with the Chamber and our local work, please fill in the form below. We will be holding an event soon at which we’ll bring together everybody who is interested, to explain about these roles and the next steps.
