CAMPAIGN FOR BUSINESS 2024 

Chamber President Emma Holt has launched our Campaign for Business 2024 work ahead of May’s GM Mayoral election and a possible General Election sometime in 2024. This work is based around 5 themes and over the next couple of months we will focus on each of them to begin the conversation and work in identifying the key issues that business want to see from Greater Manchester's next Mayor and the UK’s next government. On 5^th September 2022, Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce began its role as the designated Employer Representative Body (ERB) to lead the development of the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) for Greater Manchester.

It is our role, as the lead ERB for Greater Manchester, to work alongside the business community, training providers and a range of key stakeholders to produce a plan that sets out the current and future skills needs for Greater Manchester. The plan must also contain a set of actionable priorities which outline the changes required to help individuals develop their skills, improve their prospects, and provide businesses with the workforce they need to succeed and prosper.
