Overview
Fires in the workplace can have massive effects on both businesses and individuals. A serious fire can often result in a company closing for good and the cost to individual workers can be far greater. Being aware of hazards and understanding some basic principles can reduce the risks of fire and make workplaces safer for everyone. It is the role of the Fire Marshal to manage a fire or other similar emergency efficiently and effectively. This course has been designed with the core aim of creating a confident person to take charge in an emergency.

Who needs this qualification?
The Fire Marshal course is designed to be relevant to most workplaces, as there are many shared fire hazards and risks e.g., electrical appliances and people. This course is suitable for any employees who will be taking on the role of fire marshal in their workplace.

Why is this training important?
Fire marshals are trained to identify potential fire hazards and risks. By understanding the causes of fires, and how to prevent them, fire marshals can reduce the likelihood of fire occurring in the first place. Fire marshals play a critical role in being prepared for an emergency including fire safety plans, use of fire safety equipment and evacuation procedures which are all in place to protect employees if a fire was to occur.
