This course is part of our Leaders' Network offering. We aim to bring you the very best Director Development offer at a price that works for businesses of all shapes and size, across Greater Manchester and the North of England.
Non-Executive Directors and trustees accept responsibility for directing the affairs of their organisations. They must act collectively in the best interests of the organisation. Whether you are in a paid or voluntary role, understanding the ramifications of not acting properly is paramount – and this session is designed to give you the knowledge you need to go confidently into your board-level role.
The Role of the Non-Executive Director and Trustee course is aimed at:
- Experienced directors and leaders who are seeking their first NED or trustee role.
- Those who already hold such a post, and would like to build on their experience to improve their performance.
- Chairs, directors, trustees, shareholders and charities that are looking to strengthen their board with non-executive or trustee support. It will allow them to better understand the purpose of these roles, set expectations, and ensure they have the right mix of skills around the table.
You will leave this session with a deeper understanding of the role, and how to secure your ideal NED or trustee position.
This course will cover:
✓ Key qualities of great non-executives and trustees
✓ Board fitness assessment
✓ Board performance evaluation
✓ Director’s duties and due diligence
✓ Preparing for your ideal NED or trustee role
