Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce was saddened to hear of the death of Bernadette Speedy, one of our longest-serving members of staff.
Bernadette retired in 2021 after 47 years working on the Chamber’s International Trade Team. Her expertise was highly valued by both colleagues and customers. She was a British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) Documentation Inspector and served on the BCC Certification Group for over 20 years.
She was awarded the MBE in recognition of her decades of service to the Chamber and the business community. After her retirement, Bernadette’s name was added to the historical timeline in the Chamber’s offices in Elliot House.
