National law firm Freeths has advised expert insights platform Arbolus on its latest growth equity investment, bringing in Composition Capital as a new material shareholder to accelerate the rapid expansion of the business internationally.
Collective IQ Group, trading as Arbolus, is a platform that allows investors and consultants from the largest consulting companies, hedge funds and private equity investors worldwide to gather unique insights on companies during their research and diligence process.
Composition Capital, acting as a sub-advisor to certain sub-funds of Kayne Anderson Capital, is an investment firm focused on technology and tech-enabled businesses.
This new investment will see Arbolus primed to reinforce its position as the leading disruptor in the expert insights industry, with a mission of making human knowledge digital and widely accessible.
The Freeths legal team was led by Corporate Partner Robert Chidley supported by Senior Associate Henrietta Rendell and Associate Lottie Beange.
Robert Chidley said: "Having been involved with Collective and the Founders, Sam and Will, for over five years, it’s great to see it go from strength to strength and the addition of Composition Capital as an investor cements this growth."
Commenting on the deal, Samuel Glasswell, Co-Founder of Arbolus, added: "We have known Rob and the team from Freeths for some time. They did incredible work for us on this transaction, as they have done on a number of other matters in the past. We look forward to continuing our work together as we continue to scale Arbolus over the coming years."
