2024 is nearly over, and what a year it has been!
Let's take a look at some major moments at the UK's largest Chamber of Commerce in 2024.
1. We turned 230!
In February, it was our birthday which marked 230 years of supporting businesses in the region and beyond. We celebrated this along side staff, partners, members and presidents, in June. Thank you to all of our birthday partners who were instrumental in the celebrations.
2. The return of the events scene
This year we saw our events return to their very best. We hosted over 250 events this year and saw over 16,000 delegates. Our biggest event this year was our Property & Construction Annual Dinner which saw a whopping 220 delegates. Congratulations to our Membership and International teams on their events this year.
3. Great year to go global!
Our International Trade team have been busy as ever this year, continuing to support businesses with their import and export efforts. This year they have processed 1,800 documents a month which is estimated to have contributed approximately £600m to the local economy. Furthermore, We supported 92 traders with import and export customs declarations with over 2,200 shipments.
4. Filling the space
Our Chamber Space venue has been filled up this year with over 1000 bookings! Our most popular room for the second year in a row is The Boardroom!
5. Glad to keep you engaged
This year we've been more connected than ever! This year alone we have had an amazing 1,138,782 Impressions on LinkedIn and on Instagram we've reached an impressive 38,848 accounts.
