GMCC Importing Working Group – Calling For Expressions of Interest!

In line with the UK government's launch of a new Critical Imports and Supply Chain Strategy in 2023, the Chamber is pleased to announce we are looking at creating an Importing Working Group, which will primarily focus on: 

• Helping distributors/wholesalers, manufacturers and importers to keep up with the ever-changing regulatory landscape, 

• Ensuring our service offer is matching their needs and requirements

• Sharing your concerns, so we can effectively raise these concerns with local and national governments, and make sure we influence future importing policies, regulations and support for businesses. 

The Chamber already offers a series of services to importers such as: 

• Market Entry & Partner Finding: Helping companies to diversify their supplier chain finding the right market and partners and supporting you with due diligence services such as credit checks. 

• Training: We deliver a number of import related courses such as: Import Procedures, Inward/Outward Processing relief, incoterms, rules of origin, tariffs and more.  

• Customs Advice: Our award-winning trade and customs team can advice companies on import procedures, special customs procedures, documentation, sanctions, import licences and much more. 

• Customs Clearance: Helping importers with their import entries. 

• Documentation: Import Certificates and ATA Carnets for temporary exports/imports.
