Leading North West Law Firm, AFG LAW, has announced a key appointment to its residential property team as it continues to see strong growth across the region.
Melissa Hart has joined the team as a Licensed Conveyancer, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise. A well-known face in the profession, she joins AFG LAW after 15 years at Amity Law, where she progressed from Licensed Conveyancer to Director. Melissa has worked in conveyancing since 2006 and has operated both sides of the profession with additional practice in an estate agency. She studied remotely to achieve the Licencsed Conveyancer qualification through MOL, qualifying in just 4 years instead of the expected 8.
Melissa said of her appointment:
“I have dealt with AFG for a number of years on the other side of transactions and known Carl Fletcher and the team for some time. The Firm has always worked efficiently when I have had them on other transactions, and I wanted to be part of their drive and enthusiasm.
“AFG was my first choice when considering a new role due my existing links and experience with the team and the fact AFG is a long-established, growing Firm within the area.”

The team has seen several new appointments, including two conveyancing assistants who are starting the solicitor’s apprenticeship , growth in the file opening and post completion team and the current recruitment of several apprentices.
