Swansway Motor Group recently provided readers with the latest Honda vehicles available on the Motability scheme at Swansway Honda Stockport and Swansway Honda Bolton with the e:Ny1, HR-V and CR-V all available this Summer for Motability drivers.
However, many people are unaware what exactly the scheme involves or how they can make the most of the Motability scheme. So Swansway sat down with Sophie Knott and Emma Liddiard, the Motability experts at their Swansway Honda Stockport, to explain what the Motability scheme is, the benefits of Motability vehicles, and advice for anyone looking to start on the scheme for the first time.
The Motability scheme allows people to exchange their mobility allowance for a brand-new car. Emma has been a Motability specialist since 2018, while Sophie completed her accreditation in 2021 so they know plenty about the scheme. Sophie explained that:
“The Motability scheme gives customers freedom and independence. Unfortunately, our Motability customers often have their freedom limited but the scheme provides them with opportunities to travel stress-free which is very valuable.”
Emma added to this, “I think the way the scheme removes stress for customers and their carers is valuable. Everything from insurance, to tax, to MOT is looked after. It’s just add fuel and off you go.”
Currently there are three Honda vehicles available on the Motability scheme so Emma and Sophie were keen to give their thoughts on some of the vehicles, Emma recommended the fully electric e:Ny1 for technology lovers thanks to it’s fantastic features such as wireless changing, apple car play/android auto, heated seats and power tailgate.
Sophie was keen to add praise for the dependable HR-V model:
“Mine is the HR-V. It looks great, is a good-sized family car, and has the features drivers really want at a great advance payment price. I’d also mention the Honda CR-V which is packed with technology and offers plenty of space, making it a great all-round option.”
Asked what advice she would give to someone considering the scheme, Sophie said:
“Go for it! You’ll enjoy worry-free driving and only pay for fuel or electricity. Motability are easy to talk to If you’ve got questions and are very accommodating. With the right salesperson the process is easy.”
