Manchester Metropolitan University’s Centre for Enterprise is running two new sets of Help to Grow: Management workshops to help small business leaders develop strategies for growth.
Participants complete 12 course modules – with topics from digital technology to inspiring teams – and create bespoke growth action plans for their businesses. They also receive 10 hours of one-to-one business mentoring and guidance.
Alumna Raessa Lea, Director, Towing Solutions Limited, said of the Help to Grow: Management course: “You get an outside perspective on your business which is useful, especially as the group is so varied, with everyone from entrepreneurs to SMEs with 100 employees.”
For alum Simon Stirling, Managing Director, Direct2Florist, the course helped him to focus on building resilience and growing his company, despite the competition. You can watch Simon’s story here.
Workshops in December and February
The Centre for Enterprise is offering two course options, hybrid or in-person, to allow participants to choose their preferred learning style.
The 12-week hybrid course starts on Tuesday 3 December, with five face-to-face workshops and seven online modules.
The intensive, face-to-face course condenses the 12 workshops into eight in-person sessions. Starting on Wednesday 5 February 2025, the weekly workshops are designed to give participants the time to focus on working on their businesses and away from day-to-day distractions.
Help to Grow: Management is 90% funded by the UK Government; the cost for businesses accepted onto the course is £750. Places are limited to 25.
