The Business Desk reports Channel 4 is to open a Manchester office for 100 people in the St Michael’s development, which is currently being built next to the Chamber's offices in Elliot House. There's also news that Virgin Media O2 has agreed a 10-year deal to take five floors at one of central Manchester’s newest buildings.

Business Live says building work is set to begin on a £15m industrial scheme which will involve a 135,000 sq ft warehouse, manufacturing and office development being built on a 6.25-acre site at junction 23 of the M6. 

The University of Manchester has launched Unit M to transform how it partners with industry and strengthen the region’s innovation ecosystem. Unit M will address all aspects of the innovation challenge including R&D, innovation adoption, talent and skills.

Manchester Metropolitan University has welcomed Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister to learn more about research into hydrogen and fuel cell technology at the Manchester Fuel Cell Innovation Centre.
