Highview Power has secured the backing of the UK Infrastructure Bank and the energy industry leader Centrica with a £300 million investment for the first commercial-scale liquid air energy storage (LAES) plant in the UK. The plant, which will be based in Trafford, has the potential to make Greater Manchester a leader in the net zero transition.

Marketing Stockport reports that Andy Burnham has revealed plans for Stockport Metrolink connection will be published after the General Election and global real estate group, CBRE, has named Stockport the number one location in the UK for potential electric vehicle charging infrastructure investment.
