This week we are focusing on two more of the winners of this year’s GMCC Excellence Awards.

The prestigious awards, which are now in their fourth year, recognise organisations, leaders and teams who have demonstrated success within their industries and communities across Greater Manchester – read more about the awards here.

zally - Innovator of the Year

zally describes itself as the world's most exciting behavioural biometrics company taking on passwords and confirming you are human continuously. It has made a technology that knows who you are by just using your movement, which is much more secure than fingerprints, faces or the hassle of multi-factor authentication.

The judges felt that the work of zally stood out in this category due to the way in which it was bringing forward innovation in an area that is constantly evolving in terms of digital security. Its proprietary authentication technology makes use of ‘hyper-personalised’ trends and usage by individuals to increase security which can be adapted to use both online and offline. This is particularly important in a time when the vulnerability of other security methods, such as two-factor authentication and Face-ID, has been identified as a challenge for both businesses and individuals.

Anzar Property Investors Limited - Small Business of the Year (1 to 50 employees)

Anzar Property Group is a family run business that owns and manages a large property portfolio. It is an accredited landlord with the NRLA (National Residential Landlords Association) and maintains a strong record and delivery of consistent results in buy-to-let, auctions. It has applied its core principles on purchasing the best deals from on and off-market properties, whilst adding value through refurbishments to minimise risk and maximise returns for long-term sustainable growth.

The judges said: "It was a great achievement to bounce back in a struggling industry. They have achieved great success, supporting local while still looking after staff internally such as with the real living wage."
